HVT vector vaccines have revolutionized poultry health management. These vaccines, unaffected by maternal antibodies, offer rapid protection against major diseases such as infectious bursal disease (IBD), Newcastle disease (ND), infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT), and more recently Avian influenza (AI). The advantages of hatchery vaccination include enhanced control over biosecurity, improved vaccine administration quality, and the potential for increased automation. Featured speakers include Dr. Michel Bublot, DVM, poultry vaccine consultant, and Dr. Stéphane Lemière, Head of Global Technical Services Poultry at Boehringer Ingelheim.
This webinar will broadcast at 7:00 AM CST (Chicago) / 1:00 PM GMT (London) / 9:00 PM CST (Beijing).
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
- Reduced Risk of Reversion to Virulence, which could cause disease in the flock.
- Potential for Broad-Spectrum Protection can be designed to protect against multiple strains of a pathogen or even different pathogens, which is beneficial in areas with diverse disease pressures.
- Ability to Differentiate Infected from Vaccinated Animal (DIVA) since Vector vaccines often allow for the differentiation between vaccinated animals and those that have been naturally infected, which is vital for disease surveillance and control programs.
This webinar is sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim and presented by WATTPoultry.
