Agrofert Holding

Within Agrofert Holding’s vast conglomerate is subsidiary Vodňanská Poultry, the largest supplier of poultry meat in the Czech Republic and the only processor of duck meat in the country. Agrofert's HYZA subsidiary operates one of the largest and most modern poultry processing facilities in Europe, employing more than 1,000 people. AFEED CZ, another subsidiary, supplies day-old chicks. Agrofert is the fourth-largest employer in the Czech Republic with more than 27,000 employees across all industries. Owned by Czech Finance Minister Andrej Babis, Agrofert Holding brings together more than 200 companies operating in the areas of food, agriculture, chemistry, civil engineering, forestry, mining, processing of timber, and renewables and biofuels. Agrofert also holds 70% share in Animalco. About 15% of Animalco's turnover is in meat supplies for Agrofert's meat factories, including the biggest domestic meat processor, Kostelecke uzeniny.
