Texas A&M wins USPOULTRY Foundation contest

The school claimed the overall team category at the Ted Cameron National Poultry Judging Contest held at LSU.

Texas A&M University triumphs at the 75th USPOULTRY Foundation Ted Cameron National Poultry Judging Contest, held at Louisiana State University. It clinched the top spot in the high team overall category, with The Ohio State University securing second place.

Individual honors went to Cade Davis from Mississippi State University, who claimed the high individual overall title, followed by Marissa Askew from Auburn University in second place. USPOULTRY Foundation Executive Director Barbara Jenkins expressed gratitude to LSU for hosting the contest for many years and announced that Mississippi State University’s Poultry Science Department will now host the event.

The contest is part of the USPOULTRY Foundation's efforts to foster interest in the poultry industry among students and encourage enrollment in related studies. Alongside the Ted Cameron National Poultry Judging Contest, the foundation sponsors various student outreach programs and events, including the College Student Career Program, International Student Program, National FFA Career Development Event and more, aiming to support and engage youth in the poultry industry.
