Fortifi acquires Nothum Food Processing Systems

Acquisition will expand processing and offer better global service.

Fortifi Food Processing Solutions, a global leader in food processing equipment and automation solutions, announces the acquisition of Nothum Food Processing Systems, a prominent US-based manufacturer of batter, breading and frying equipment for protein processing.

Established in 1971 and headquartered in Springfield, Mo., Nothum serves diverse markets including poultry, seafood, vegetables and alternative proteins. As part of Fortifi’s portfolio, Nothum joins leading brands such as Bettcher Industries and Frontmatec.

Under the acquisition agreement, all Nothum employees will participate in Fortifi’s ownership program, providing them with opportunities for equity ownership benefits.

Baird served as Fortifi’s exclusive financial advisor for the acquisition, while William Blair advised Nothum.
