The USPOULTRY Foundation recently awarded a $17,418 student recruiting grant to Mississippi State University’s Poultry Science Department.
Mark Waller, sales and processing director for Ingram Farms and Vice Chairman for the USPOULTRY board of directors, presented the check to Dr. David Peebles, professor and interim head of the poultry science department at Mississippi State University. The funds will be used for student recruitment at Mississippi State University as well as at secondary schools and junior colleges around Mississippi and Tennessee as part of the Academic Common Market Program, Peebles said.
