The British Pig Exchange has launched a new website focusing on the introduction of the partial stalls ban going into effect across Europe on Jan. 1, 2013.
The website houses all the published reports and media coverage on the subject, plus the opportunity to download a logo for use on company and agency websites. "January 1, 2013, is a hugely important milestone for the pig industry," says a statement on the site. "A higher welfare Directive from the EU for the pig sector, in the form of a partial sow stall ban, comes into effect throughout the EU in less than twelve months. The aim of this website is to provide regular updates on the Countdown to 1-1-13 campaign."
