VIV Russia 2013 will focus on the animal feed and meat industries’ developments with the feed-to-meat concept. The show will take place May 21-23 at the International Crocus Exhibition Center in Moscow, Russia.
Animal production and processing is facing a difficult time. After Mad Cow and classical swine and avian influenza, consumers’ demands for healthy, convenient, fresh and safe meat products are increasing.
Meat safety can only be guaranteed if every step in the meat production chain is carefully monitored and controlled.
Meat production and further processing companies adapt and improve their production processes to meet demands. International food quality institutions developed standards for quality assurance and secured traceability. The trend is toward systems that cover the entire food chain from primary production to finished products: from feed to meat.
In its role as the nation's platform on animal production and meat processing, VIV Russia will showcase the feed-to-meat concept, highlighting that animal feed and animal health are vital for meat quality and safety. VIV Russia will represent every step in the meat production process.
Attendees can expect to find information about industrial feed processing equipment, supplies, and raw materials; feed ingredients and additives; animal health; animal breeding; farm equipment; slaughter equipment; meat ingredients; meat processing, packaging, handling and refrigeration; egg processing; dairy processing; meat, dairy and egg products; subjects covering parts or all of the above-mentioned items in the meat supply chain; and knowledge transfer and consultancy.
VIV Russia 2013 will offer two special educational features at this year’s show: CropTech-FeedTech and MeatTech.
CropTech-FeedTech Russia 2013
CropTech-FeedTech is a special feature dedicated to the milling, processing, storage and handling of crops and feed. The concept involves the technology of production for feed, food ingredients/inputs and fuel.
The focus is on the primary processing phases of crops. More specifically, the concept fully comprises the production of feed, premixes, pet food, flour, vegetable oil, raw material feedstuffs and (ingredient) foodstuffs, biomass and biofuel products.
MeatTech Russia 2013
Each year, the supply chain for meat, poultry and aquaculture is getting further integrated. VIV recognizes a growing interest from visitors in meat slaughtering and further meat processing, which is the starting point for the specialized MeatTech theme at the larger VIV trade shows.
