USPOULTRY holds poultry production, health seminar

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association's Poultry & Egg Institute recently sponsored a 2011 Poultry Production and Health seminar in Charlotte, N.C. The annual conference focused on the chicken respiratory virus, LT, infectious laryngotracheitis, with presentations on attempts to control LT outbreaks from Dr. Phil Stayer, corporate veterinarian for Sanderson Farms, and on animal welfare audits by Dr. Karen Christensen, director of technical services for OK Farms.
