China poultry forum highlights industry food safety

More than 170 industry leaders from national and multinational poultry integration management and operations met to discuss issues of food safety, business culture and priorities, animal health, biosecurity, sustainability, food quality, safe feed and new technical developments at the China Poultry Forum, held September 21 in Beijing, China. The theme of the forum, also attended by industry researchers, commercial suppliers and other stakeholders, was "Food Safety on Poultry Industry China," and was the first national/international industry forum.

More than 170 industry leaders from national and multinational poultry integration management and operations met to discuss issues of food safety, business culture and priorities, animal health, biosecurity, sustainability, food quality, safe feed and new technical developments at the China Poultry Forum, held September 21 in Beijing, China.

The theme of the forum, also attended by industry researchers, commercial suppliers and other stakeholders, was "Food Safety on Poultry Industry China," and was the first national/international industry forum. It was held to coincide with VIV China 2012.

The forum included a roundtable question and answer discussion among leading integrators, including Fujian Sunner, Dachan Group, Yisheng, Dalian SAM, Qinhuangdao Chiatai, and China-based multinationals Tyson Foods and OSI Industries. Expert commercial and research presentations were given by the World Poultry Science Association, Olmix, Lvman, Vencomatic, Meyn Food Processing Solutions and Alltech.

China Poultry Forum 2012 was organized by Poultry International China Edition and WATT; co-organizer Shanghai LyJa Cultural Media Co., Ltd.; supported by China Animal Agriculture Association; and with cooperation from Haudu Group, Yum Brands Inc. China and VNU Europe.
