The happy egg co has expanded its distribution network in the U.S. with the addition of more than 1,000 new points of purchase in Wal-Mart and Kroger stores across nine states. The expansion will see happy eggs available in more than 500 new stores across Texas alone.

“With this major expansion in Wal-Mart and Kroger stores, we have now more than tripled the number of stores happy egg is available in over the last 12 months alone to meet the growing consumer demand for eggs from humanely raised hens,” said Jenni Danby, marketing director the happy egg co. “Our continued success is driven by the vision to bring our free-range eggs to every family’s table at an affordable price.”

The company also notes that its packaging is recyclable and compostable and, being sunshine yellow, its egg boxes stand out in the egg aisle. With the announcement of the latest distribution agreement, the company’s eggs are now available in more than 4,500 grocery stores across the U.S. The happy egg co, a subsidiary of the U.K.’s Noble Foods, entered the U.S. market in 2012.
