O.K. Foods is under new leadership, as Trent Goins has reportedly replaced Paul Fox as CEO of the company. Goins was promoted to the O.K. Foods CEO position, having previously served as the senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Donna Miller of O.K. Foods confirmed in a telephone call with The City Wire that Fox had resigned from the company, but declined to elaborate.

Fox had been with O.K. Foods since January 2012, having previously worked for nine months as managing director of Marfrig. He had also been president and CEO of Dickinson Frozen Foods for about four years, and with Tyson Foods for 17 years in a domestic and international vice presidency position.

Goins, the new CEO of O.K. Foods, started his career with the company as a management trainee in January 2003 before becoming a regional sales manager in January 2005, a position he held for four years. During that time, he has served on the board of the National Chicken Council and The Poultry Federation. Goins is currently an executive committee member of the National Chicken Council. Prior to joining O.K. Foods, Goins was a legislative assistant for agriculture and trade policy in the office of former U.S. Rep. Marion Berry.

O.K. Foods, based in Fort Smith, Ark., was founded in the 1930s as a feed manufacturer, eventually moving into processed poultry business in the 1950s. O.K. Foods was purchased by Mexico-based poultry processor Bachoco in 2011.
