Wayne Farms names assistant vice president, deputy legal counsel

Wayne Farms has hired Jeremy V. Kilburn as its assistantvice president and deputy general counsel. Kilburn’s appointment will beeffective January 2015.

Wayne Farms has hired Jeremy V. Kilburn as its assistant vice president and deputy general counsel. Kilburn’s appointment will be effective January 2015.

Kilburn is ending his five-year tenure as a partner with Preston & Malcom, a law firm based in Monroe, Georgia. Wayne Farms is the sixth largest poultry producer in the United States and processes 328 million chickens annually, according to the WATT Global Media Top Companies Database, and is a client of Preston & Malcom.

Kilburn grew up working around the poultry industry in Texas. He obtained a master’s degree in poultry science and a law degree from the University of Georgia.
