Cal-Maine Foods names new vice president of operations

Cal-Maine Foods has promoted Michael Ermon to vice president of operations. This appointment was approved by the company’s board of directors on December 23.

Cal-Maine Foods has promoted Michael Ermon to vice president of operations. This appointment was approved by the company’s board of directors on December 23.

Ermon will have responsibility for Cal-Maine Foods’ production and processing facilities located in Farwell and Pittsburg, Texas, and Chase, Kansas. He also serves as the company’s representative on the operations committee for the Red River Valley Egg Farm joint venture, also located in Texas. He will report directly to Sherman Miller, chief operating officer of Cal-Maine Foods.

Ermon has been employed with Cal-Maine Foods since 2004. He most recently served as operations director of the company’s operations in Farwell and Pittsburg, Texas. Previously, he was general manager in Farwell, and he also held the same position in Greensburg, Louisiana. Ermon graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.
