Ceva Santé Animale, through its subsidiary Ecat, has entered exclusive negotiations with iD Projects to merge the two businesses.

The aim of the merger, planned for March 1, is to create a new global leader in the field of hatchery automation and in-ovo vaccination.

According to a press release from Ceva, the fusion of Ecat and iD Projects will:

  • Offer customers a wider range of products and services.
  • Strengthen R&D to accelerate the development of innovative products.
  • Increase production capacity to meet rapidly expanding global demand.
  • Ensure top quality installation and after-sales service through Ceva’s extensive international network.

Ecat and iD Projects are both located in Brittany, Northern France just a few kilometers apart, which will facilitate their working together, especially as both product ranges are very complementary.

Ceva is a world leader in poultry vaccination, especially in the hatchery. Having access to state of the art vaccination methods and hatchery automation is a constant demand from Ceva’s customers who will benefit from the innovation generated by this latest investment, said Ceva CEO Dr. Marc Prikazky.

“Fortunately in the Brittany region of France we have access to some really talented engineers, specialized in poultry and clearly we want to be able to leverage these skills for the benefit of our global customers,”said Prikazsky.
