ILC Resources has purchased 243 Lime, the fine grind plant of NALC L.L.C. in Cloverdale, Indiana. This acquisition provides the central Iowa-based company with its sixth U.S. location for serving agribusiness customers with feed-grade calcium carbonate and mineral feed ingredients, as well as providing customers with industrial product applications.

“With this purchase, ILC Resources will develop a higher market presence in eastern Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia,” said Frank Goode, CEO and president of 92-year-old ILC Resources. “We’ve brought together two privately owned and operated companies — one that’s young and growing steadily and one with a longtime history of success — and both possess state-of‐the-art equipment and vital resources. NALC L.L.C. has developed a highly automated, world-class plant at Cloverdale and its management team members will play leading roles at its operation as ILC Resources.”

According to Goode, ILC plans to expand the range of high-quality animal feed and industrial products available from the Indiana facility. The plant’s existing animal feed ingredient customers will benefit from access to ILC’s staff nutritionist for technical expertise, the company’s well-honed and responsive customer service staff, and the services of a knowledgeable regional sales representative.

The purchase was effective December 5, 2016. Previous customers of 243 Lime are experiencing no changes in pricing, ordering, delivery or plant personnel at this time.

ILC Resources began serving customers in 1924 in Alden, Iowa. Its other locations are Alden and Gilmore City, Iowa; Weeping Water, Nebraska; Savage, Minnesota; and Jasper, Missouri. The company also offers ingredient transportation and warehousing.
