Allen Harim 'Bless Our Children' challenge breaks record

Through a campaign on WBOC-TV, Allen Harim raised more than $263,000 for needy children during the holiday season.

With the holidays over, Allen Harim would like to thank all the businesses that accepted the Allen Harim Campaign Challenge as part of the record-breaking Bless Our Children campaign on WBOC-TV this year.

This year’s campaign raised $263,920, making it the most successful campaign to date.

For the past two years, Allen Harim has been a lead sponsor of Salisbury-based television station’s fund-raising campaign, which raises money for Christmas presents for needy children on the Delmarva Peninsula. The funds are distributed through non-profit organizations who then buy toys for children who might otherwise go without presents at Christmas.

This year, 157 businesses stepped up to accept the Allen Harim Campaign Challenge to donate at least $1,000 toward the Bless Our Children campaign. At least 27 of those are customers or vendors of Allen Harim.

“We could not be more proud of our company’s involvement in this worthy cause,” said Joe Moran, CEO and President of Allen Harim. “Giving back is part of our corporate culture here, and I’m glad so many other businesses, including those we do business with, also share that same philosophy. Our employees, our growers, our customers and our vendors are all part of this campaign’s success and we are so grateful.”
