From WATTAgNet:

Northern Ireland broiler company Moy Park has recently been listed as the No. 1 business in the country in Ulster Business magazine’s Top 100 Companies list.

It is the sixth year in a row for the company to receive this honor.

Moy Park and other companies on the list were credited for showing the “resilience and energy of Northern Ireland companies,” wrote Ulster Business editor David Elliott.

Moy Park Chief Executive Janet McCollum, said: “We’re hugely excited to be named No. 1 in the Ulster Business Top 100 Northern Ireland Companies listing, an achievement which is all down to our brilliant people.”

Moy Park, in addition to being Northern Ireland’s largest company, is also one of the U.K.’s top 15 food companies and among the top 5 European poultry companies, according to the WATTAgNet Top Poultry Companies Database.

It is a subsidiary of Brazil-based meat and poultry company JBS, and has been since JBS purchased Moy Park from Marfrig Global Foods in 2015. However, amid a corruption scandal involving JBS leaders, the company has announced its intent to sell Moy Park.

McCollum, earlier in 2017, was recognized for her leadership excellence, being honored as the Large Company Director of the Year at the IoDNI First Trust Bank Director of the Year Awards. A few months later, Mike Mullan, an executive director with Moy Park, was named “HR Director of the Year” at the CEPD Northern Ireland Awards 2017.
