North American Meat Institute elects new officers at annual meeting

The North American Meat Institute elected the five new officers who will guide the organization in the next year. The officers were selected during the Meat Institute’s Annual Meeting held September 29, in Washington, DC.

The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) elected the five new officers who will guide the organization in the next year. The officers were selected during the Meat Institute’s Annual Meeting held September 29, in Washington, DC.

John Vatri, vice president of operations at Cardinal Meat Specialists, Ltd., will serve as chairman of the Board of Directors, while Joe Maas, co-owner and vice president of operations at JTM Provisions, was elected vice chairman.

Bar-S Foods Co. President and CEO Warren Panico will serve as treasurer and Brad McDowell, president of AB Foods LLC, was elected secretary. Mike Townsley, president of Bob Evans Farms, Inc., becomes immediate past chairman.

The NAMI Board of Directors is comprised of industry leaders representing the organization’s packer, processor and supplier member companies.
