Nearly 700 exhibiting companies will offer products, services and opportunities for learning and networking at the International Poultry Expo/International Feed Expo in Atlanta from January 27 to 29, 2010. IPE/IFE is the world’s largest display of equipment, supplies and services used in the production and processing of feed products, poultry, and eggs.
All segments of the industry will be represented at IPE/IFE: feed milling, rendering, live production, hatcheries, processing, further processing, marketing, and all support activities.
Seminars and workshops presented by industry experts, scientists and top-level company executives will update attendees on current and prospective industry issues. Attendees are invited to take advantage of these opportunities at no charge.
Expo highlights
Forum investigates industry economics: Dr. Donald Ratajczak, nationally prominent economist, will be a featured speaker at the Poultry Market Intelligence Forum on January 29. In addition to Ratajczak, the agenda will include noted industry economists Mike Donohue, Agri Stats; and Dr. Paul Aho, Poultry Perspective.
Summit examines animal agriculture: Leading professionals from the animal agriculture industry will address the challenges and opportunities for the future as they relate to sustainability and protecting the environment during the Animal Agriculture Environmental Sustainability Summit.
Carbon footprints, caps and trade, biofuels, greenhouse gases and renewable energy issues will be addressed by industry experts beginning the afternoon of January 26 and concluding on the morning of January 27 with keynote addresses by top level executives and industry leaders.
International Poultry Scientific Forum: The International Poultry Scientific Forum is sponsored by the Southern Poultry Science Society, the Southern Conference on Avian Diseases and USPOULTRY. The Forum will take place on January 25 and 26, and will include information on such industry topics as environmental management, nutrition, physiology, pathology, processing and products, and avian diseases.
AFIA’s Pet Food Conference: A variety of topics from regulatory to technical aspects of production to product claims, marketing and nutrition will be covered on January 26 and 27 at AFIA’s Pet Food Conference.
IBP links global companies
The International Buyers Program (IBP) cooperated with U.S. embassies throughout the world to organize trade delegations for IPE/IFE. The on-site program will include a matchmaking service that will connect U.S. suppliers of equipment, products and services with international attendees.
InfoMarts presentations offer details
Running from show open to close, exhibitors will provide attendees with in-depth information on their products, services and innovations at InfoMarts located on the exhibit hall floor.
An Expo with good taste
A unique, new “FeatherFest” will take over Atlanta during the Expo, sponsored by USPOULTRY and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau. Participating Atlanta restaurants will create “special menu” poultry dishes exclusively for IPE week. Attendees are invited to enjoy some of the best restaurants Atlanta has to offer, then vote on the “Best Of” poultry dishes at the show or online.
What’s cooking in Atlanta? The International Poultry Expo and Poultry magazine team up to present cooking demonstrations on the show floor. Chefs from the food service industry will prepare their finest poultry creations.

This one-of-a-kind program provides students with on-site interviews for jobs and internships with industry and allied firms.
