GuardianACTION is a productivity monitoring service launched by farm energy and control company Farmex, to alert the producer when there is a problem on the pig unit. The system differs from conventional computer recording because it enables remedial steps promptly to be taken without the need to wait for time-consuming data analysis. It monitors and evaluates temperature, feed and water supply using sensors which upload continuously to a data logger connected to a computer, for passing by broadband to the system’s own server.
