The A&B Ingredients CytoGuard LA antimicrobial combats pathogens in food processing operations and is effective for use in ready to eat processed meat and poultry products. The antimicrobial alters the cell membranes of the microbes, preventing growth and reducing bacterial levels. CytoGuard LA is not affected by pH and typically does not impact flavor, color, texture, or pH of the product. The antimicrobial is stable for up to one year, stands up to heating and freezing, and concentrates in the water phase of products.
