RCL Foods Ltd. is among South Africa’s largest chicken processors, operating more than 200 farms and distributing goods across South Africa, Swaziland, Namibia, Botswana, Uganda and Zambia. As a poultry operation, the company is fully integrated. RCL breeds and raises its own livestock and controls four subsidiaries: Rainbow Farms, TSB Sugar, Foodcorp and Vector Logistics. RCL holds 51% ownership of ZamHatch, producing broiler day-old chicks and feed in Zambia. RCL Foods owns the Rainbow, Farmer Brown and Rainbow Food Solutions labels. The company also produces animal feed through Epol. RCL Foods is itself a subsidiary of holding company Remgro Ltd.
