Foster Farms is a vertically integrated turkey and chicken company based in California. It was founded as a single turkey farm in 1939 and has since grown into a poultry company with operations in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Arkansas, Alabama and Louisiana. It produces fresh and frozen ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat chicken and turkey products. In addition to the retail market, Foster Farms supplies prepared foods to the foodservice industry, including restaurant and other hospitality operators. It employs 10,994 people.
Foster Farms produced 23.8 million pounds of ready-to-cook chicken on a weekly basis in 2023. Its 2023 sales were $2.445 billion, an increase from $2.02 billion in 2021.
