Bill Snow headshotBill Snow, Big Dutchman’s cage-free specialist, has worked in agriculture since 1994 and been with Big Dutchman since 2007. He’s worked with egg producers, and spoken on the topic, in North America, Latin America and Europe. He’s part of Big Dutchman’s team working on teaching best management practices that result in improved production and hen welfare. He holds a degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Big Dutchman, based in Holland, Michigan, is a leading supplier of equipment used in poultry, pig and egg farming.


 

Dr. Jasper Heerkens, Poultry Specialist, Jansen Poultry Equipment

Jasper Heerkins headshotDr. Heerkens joined Jansen in 2016 and works as a poultry specialist. His responsibilities include poultry management, training and research and marketing. He studied Animal Sciences with a specialization in Animal Health and Behavior at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. His doctoral research project focused on raising laying hen welfare in aviaries to a higher level.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Guillermo Zavala is the founder of Avian Health International

Dr. Guillermo Zavala is the founder of Avian Health International.  Dr Zavala holds a DVM and a specialty in poultry production from the University of Mexico; a Master of Science, a Master of Avian Medicine, and a PhD in medical microbiology from the University of Georgia. He has worked in broiler and breeding companies, vaccine companies, one diagnostic laboratory, two academic institutions and as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Population Health, University of Georgia. His field of research is in applied virology (CIAV, IBDV, tumor viruses, ILT, enteric viruses and fowl adenovirus). He has 32 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
