The TOMRA QVision analyzer is able to detect wooden breast in chicken fillets. The system uses multi-spectral light analysis to classify the chemical composition of each chicken fillet. Software allows the in-line analyzer to accurately grade chicken fillets into multiple grades, according to customer set thresholds. Typically, grade 1 means the chicken breast is not affected, grade 2 is a mild presence of wooden breast and grade 3 is the most severe presence of wooden breast. After the chicken fillets are scanned by the QVision analyzer, the grade information can be used to sort them into the desired categories. The system can make the grade information available via real time data communication.
