CEM Corporation offers the Sprint Rapid Protein Analyzer with iTAG technology. The technology utilises a bioscience technique known as protein tagging to determine accurately the amount of protein in a variety of foods. Protein tagging is more accurate than current protein tests, which measure nitrogen in foods and then calculate the protein. Since there are other nitrogen-containing compounds that can be present, measuring protein in this manner can be problematic. The analyzer uses AOAC and AACC-approved methods that will enable food manufacturers to be certain of the protein content of their ingredients, reducing the risk of contaminants and fillers going undetected.
