Perstorp ProPhorce SR butyric acid power is the butyric acid form without butyric acid smell issues. It is heat stable and suitable for today’s feed manufacturing processes. The esterifying process ensures a superior delivery of the acid throughout the digestive tract. Effects attributed to butyrates include: better nutrient digestibility, which results in an increase in performance; stimulation of secretion of digestive enzymes; optimization of intestinal microbiota and an improvement of the epithelial integrity and defense systems; tissue development and repair in the digestive tract; down-regulation of bacterial virulence; and control of gut health disorders caused by bacterial pathogens, especially in young animals. It is stable as a pure product, in a premix or processed in feed.
