Pakistan poultry production to grow in 2012

Pakistan's poultry production is predicted to grow to 758,000 tons in the 2011-2012 fiscal year, an increase of 3.97%, according to the country's government. Poultry production in Pakistan hit 729,000 tons in the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

Pakistan's poultry production is predicted to grow to 758,000 tons in the 2011-2012 fiscal year, an increase of 3.97%, according to the country's government.  

Poultry production in Pakistan hit 729,000 tons in the 2010-2011 fiscal year. The country's egg production is also expected to grow by 3.97%, to 12.308 million eggs from 2010-2011's 11.3838 million eggs, according to the government's annual report.

Overall livestock production growth is predicted at 4% for the 2011-2012 fiscal year.
