Poultry producer, packer to build new slaughtering plant

Canadian poultry producer Groupe Westco and poultry and pork packer Olymel have partnered to begin construction on a CAD 40 million (US$40.8 million) poultry slaughtering plant. The facility, Sunnymel, is expected to create 250 jobs and will take around a year to complete, according to the companies.
