Kemira Oyj is celebrating 30 years of producing formic acid for inclusion in animal feed.

The company began producing formic acid in cooperation with Valio in fall 1981, selling most of the production to Finnish farms as a silage additive. The company says the bulk of its product is exported from Finland to about 60 countries worldwide.
