Merck rolls out new name, holds seminars at Congress

Merck Animal Health (MSD Animal Health outside the U.S. and Canada), formerly known as Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health, used exhibits and seminars at the recent XVII World Veterinary Poultry Association Congress in Cancun, Mexico, and the XXII Latin-American Poultry Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to roll out the new company name. Merck hosted a two-hour symposium on Protectotype, a strategic approach to Infectious Bronchitis control combining broad-spectrum IB vaccines that allows protection against virtually any IB virus of poultry, including new variants.

At the LAPC, Merck hosted a workshop on broiler intestinal health that focused on new ways to manage coccidiosis and necrotic enteritis while improving gut health, feed conversion and bird performance.
