Brian Hartwig has been promoted to chief operating officer for Schenck AccuRate Inc.

Hartwig will work with President and CEO Dirk Maroske to set the company objectives and fulfill the responsibilities of managing the day-to-day operations for the company. Hartwig has been operating as an interim second officer of the company since the end of February 2011. In the four years he has been with Schenck AccuRate, his responsibilities have included R&D engineering manager, director of engineering and director of after-sales business.
