The USPOULTRY Foundation board recently approved student recruiting grants totaling more than $180,000 to the six U.S. universities with poultry science departments and 14 other institutions with poultry programs. The Foundation provides annual recruiting funds to colleges and universities to attract students to their poultry programs. “We have had back-to-back freshman classes with nine to 10 poultry students," said Clauer. "The Foundation’s support for our youth program has had a lot to do with our ability to continue bringing in good students."
