Delhi builds rendering plant in Ghazipur

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has built a rendering plant in Ghazipur to dispose of dead animal carcasses, processing them into bird feed which is then sold in the local markets, according to reports. The plant, which was built for Rs 26 crore (US$5.32 million) in 2004, has the capacity to process 150 to 200 animals per day.

The plant, which was built for Rs 26 crore (US$5.32 million) in 2004, has the capacity to process 150 to 200 animals per day. An operator was only just now found for the plant, which is currently processing 125 to 130 animals per day.
