Animal feed ingredient producer Prince Agri Products has acquired the Animate product line from Graco Minerals.
Animate is an ingredient given to a "dry" cow — one that is not producing milk — leading up to when the cow comes into milk to prevent a metabolic condition known as milk fever. "With a product like Animate, the cows will have stronger, healthier calf, they will have higher peak milk production and that entire transition period will be much freer from metabolic disorders," said Prince President Dean Warras. Prince is looking to move production to another facility in the next six months.
