Royal DSM presents Nutrition Award 2011

Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, has presented the DSM Nutrition Award 2011 for research on animal nutrition to Dr. Yves Nys of INRA, the French National Institute for Agricultural Research, in recognition of his contributions to research in the field of poultry nutrition. Nys has pushed the frontiers of poultry nutrition science to develop several novel approaches to enhancing the quality of poultry products, such as poultry meat and eggs, which are a major source of relatively cheap and nutritious animal derived proteins.

Nys has pushed the frontiers of poultry nutrition science to develop several novel approaches to enhancing the quality of poultry products, such as poultry meat and eggs, which are a major source of relatively cheap and nutritious animal derived proteins. Nys recently received the title of Doctor honoris causa from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Lasiis and is currently President of the European Federation of the World Poultry Science Association.
