A simulation exercise on avian influenza, Newcastle disease, African swine fever, classical swine fever, foot and mouth disease, and swine vesicular disease was conducted by Lithuania in late November.
According to Dr. Jonas Milius, director of the State Food and Veterinary Services, the exercise included theoretical training of SFVS personnel with the aim of applying emergency measures in compliance with the contingency plans for these diseases.
