Indiana turkey company to invest in new processing plant

Indiana turkey company Farbest Foods Inc. plans to invest $69 million on a 220,000-square-foot processing plant, according to reports. The plant, which will sit on 100 acres of land in Vincennes, Ind., is expected to create up to 600 new jobs over the next few years, said the company.

The plant, which will sit on 100 acres of land in Vincennes, Ind., is expected to create up to 600 new jobs over the next few years, said the company. Hiring has already begun for engineering, administrative and maintenance employees, and manufacturing workers will be hired in 2013. The plant will begin production with 360 employees, with a second shift added that will boost the work force to 600.
