Qatar to invest in Sudan poultry project

Qatari meat and livestock trading company Mawashi is investing in a Sudanese poultry project that will lead to the annual production of 12 million chickens in the next four years, according to CEO and managing director Ahmed Nasir Saria Al Kaabi. The Al Baraka Poultry Project will initially produce six million chickens.

Qatari meat and livestock trading company Mawashi is investing in a Sudanese poultry project that will lead to the annual production of 12 million chickens in the next four years, according to CEO and managing director Ahmed Nasir Saria Al Kaabi.

The Al Baraka Poultry Project will initially produce six million chickens. A 21-million-square-meter abattoir will be constructed in Sudan and will include a quarantine area, a slaughterhouse and a processing and freezing section, said Kaabi.
