The National Poultry and Food Distributors Association named Jim Sumner, president of the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council, as the 2012 NPFDA Poultry Industry Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Sumner has served as president of USAPEEC since February 1990, and has also been appointed to serve on the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee by the past five secretaries of agriculture and U.S. trade representatives.
