Cherkizovo poultry division sees sales growth in 2011
Poultry prices remain stable
Sales volumes in Cherkizovo Group's poultry division in 2011 increased by 34 percent to approximately 260,200 metric tons of slaughter weight, compared to 194,100 metric tons in 2010, according to the company's latest numbers.
This reflects organic volumes added in the Bryansk and Penza clusters and the inclusion of sales by Mosselprom, acquired in May 2011. Prices increased by 1% from 71.89 rubles (US$2.38) per kg in 2010 to 72.79 rubles (US$2.41) per kg in 2011 (excluding value-added tax). Compared to the third quarter of 2011, prices in the fourth quarter stayed almost flat, at 73.74 rubles (US$2.44) per kg.
