Maple Leaf Farms has announced the promotion of Dr. Dan Shafer to vice president of live production.
Shafer will succeed current vice president Mike Turk, who retires in February. In his new position, Shafer will be responsible for overseeing the company’s grower and breeder duck production divisions. He is also responsible for operations that support these areas including company feed mills, laboratories and transportation departments.
