Cobb Europe receives company biosecurity award

The annual Cobb award for the biggest advance in biosecurity programs and disease prevention has been presented to Roy Mutimer, general manager for Cobb Europe — their second success in four years of the award. "There were those who really doubted whether we could control the mycoplasma threat, so going a whole year with no flock loss is a fantastic achievement,” said Mutimer.

"There were those who really doubted whether we could control the mycoplasma threat, so going a whole year with no flock loss is a fantastic achievement,” said Mutimer. “This has nothing to do with luck — more about the total commitment to live the biosecurity culture every day and so make it possible to protect our flocks.” He said that mycoplasma continues to be a challenge, particularly in Holland, with strict biosecurity procedures needed to keep their flocks clean.
