The price of wholesale poultry meat traded in Sao Paulo, Brazil rose in February and remained firm into March, despite a fall in volumes.
According to the Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics, 257,000 tons of fresh poultry meat were traded in February, a contraction of 12.5 percent compared with January. The numbers are also 4.3 percent lower than February 2010 numbers, according to the Center.
