Sao Paulo wholesale poultry prices remain strong
Despite weaker volumes, price of exported poultry meat continues to rise
The price of wholesale poultry meat traded in Sao Paulo, Brazil rose in February and remained firm into March, despite a fall in volumes.
According to the Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics, 257,000 tons of fresh poultry meat were traded in February, a contraction of 12.5 percent compared with January. The numbers are also 4.3 percent lower than February 2010 numbers, according to the Center.
