Betagro Group expands in Cambodia

Betagro Group has planned a series of investments in feed and livestock production in neighboring countries to cash in on an economic boom expected after the establishment of the Asean Economic Community in 2015, including in Cambodia where a 500-million-baht (US$16.2 million) animal feed plant is 95 percent complete, according to reports. The plant, with an initial capacity of producing 12,000 metric tons of animal feed per year (doubling to 24,000 metric tons over the next few years), is being built to supply Cambodia's livestock industry, including Betagro's swine operation.
