Peco Foods Inc. has completed work on a $28 million feed mill in Lake, Miss., which is now producing 8,800 tons of broiler feed per week and is fully operational ahead of its original timeline.

The new Lake mill replaces Peco Foods’ original facility at Sebastopol, Miss., where feed manufacturing ended in early February. According to the company, the next phase in Peco Foods’ expansion at the Lake site will be construction of a 110-car rail track, which is scheduled to be operational in August.
