Ross Vietnam meeting highlights poultry performance, diseases, chick quality

The second Ross Vietnam Association Meeting in Hanoi brought together parent stock farmers, government personnel and broiler growers interested in the Ross 308 to focus on such topics as the stock's performance in South East Asia, how to maximize the parent stock, current diseases in South East Asia and how to focus on chick quality. Vietnam is a growing market with poultry consumption forecast to increase by around 50 percent in the next five years, driven by rising incomes and population growth.

Vietnam is a growing market with poultry consumption forecast to increase by around 50 percent in the next five years, driven by rising incomes and population growth. “It is important to have good relations with the government and the industry in this rapidly emerging market to improve awareness and understanding,” said Bill Souther, Aviagen senior vice president Asia.
