Bayer CropScience to develop Nebraska wheat breeding station

Bayer CropScience has entered into an agreement to lease 400 acres of land in Nebraska to develop a North American wheat breeding station as a focal point for the company's wheat breeding program. Bayer hopes to advance wheat productivity and sustainability, and that the work done will benefit farmers in the Nebraska region and ultimately grain trade worldwide.

Bayer hopes to advance wheat productivity and sustainability, and that the work done will benefit farmers in the Nebraska region and ultimately grain trade worldwide. This new station will be part of Bayer CropScience's global network of wheat breeding stations situated in the heart of key wheat production regions. Additional breeding centers are planned in Europe and other regions over the coming years.
