Massachusetts-based Häns Kissle Company LLC has won the 11th annual food quality award, sponsored by DuPont Nutrition & Health, for significant improvements in food safety and quality with a positive impact on business results.


Häns Kissle was selected for the 2012 award due to the quantifiable results it has achieved in meeting its goal of producing high-quality food in a sustainable environment, including technology improvements that reduced energy consumption by 15 percent and extensive training that produced 25 percent fewer distribution errors and 19 percent fewer customer complaints. "Honoring companies such as Häns Kissle for taking a proactive approach to protecting our food supply is something we at DuPont look forward to each year," said Megan DeStefano, global industry marketing manager.  “As recipients of the food quality award, these companies exemplify commitment in action."
