North Carolina food plant closes, 116 lose jobs

A Gold Signature Foods plant operated by the Brooks Food Group in North Carolina has shut down, leaving 116 people without jobs in the area, according to reports.

The facility was 78,000 square feet and manufactured chicken and frozen meals. None of the employees are union workers, according to the termination letter sent to the North Carolina Department of Commerce and Governor Bev Perdue.
